Thirteen cadets and three members of staff enjoyed a great walk around the lake in Virgina Water to raise money for the Surrey Air Ambulance.
The cadets managed to complete the four mile course in around 55 minutes, just in time to watch the fly past for the Queen's Jubilee military muster at near by Windsor Castle.
The cadets involvement started after a talk at the squadron about the Air Ambulance. For more information about his lifesaving charity visit http://www.kssairambulance.org.uk/Community/SurreyAirAmbulance

Athletics Practice
Just like the top athletes all over the world, 1075 squadron's cadets spent an evening athletics training. While they were only training for the Surrey Wing athletics meet and not the London Olympics, the cadets still showed great dedication and enthusiasm. This attitude was highly praised by the coaches of Camberley Athletics Club, who kindly provided the training. They also helped the squadron make the selection of cadet who will run, jump or throw for 1075 against the rest of Surrey Wing. Good luck to them all.

Radio Certificates for Cadets
Thirteen is unlucky for some, but not for the 13 Camberley Air Cadets who have recently completed a nationally recognised radio course with 1075 Squadron. Over two weekends the cadets learnt the basics of radio communications in the Ofcom approved course administered by the Radio Society of Great Britain. The Squadron is a registered test centre with the RSGB, allowing the cadets to sit the exam at the Squadron HQ.
After taking an exam, which they all passed, the cadets were awarded the Foundation Level Certificate in Radio Communications. This qualification provides cadets with formal qualification in radio communications and a lifetime licence to operate using HF, VHF, UHF, Microwave and Satellite frequencies in the UK.
The Squadron's Radio Officer and course director Civilian Instructor Julian Parfitt commented, "The Squadron now has 30 cadets and staff with a radio licence, not only great for communication, but it must be some kind of record."

Cadet Promotions
The Squadron now has a Cadet Warrant Officer again after Flight Sergeant Koulouris successfully passed the promotion interview with Officer Commanding Surrey Wing, Wing Commander Xavier.
It has been several years since the Squadron has had a CWO, the highest rank a cadet can achieve in the Air Cadet, but it has gone to a worthy cadet. CWO Koulouris was the best cadet in Surrey Wing last year, and because of this got to visit Canada as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange programme.
In addition Sergeants Connolly and Foskett have now been promoted to Flight Sergeants. Look out for more promotions soon.
